The first time Gaius climbed the ladder up into the lighting grid for a school musical he was captivated by the allure of light. The opportunity to transform spaces and create new worlds before the audience’s eyes has always been irresistible.

Gaius has been a Lighting Designer since 2004, along with rolls as Technical Director, Producer, and even a Teacher of AVL technology. His clients have a tendency to stick around for annual engagements over years and decades.

Many people ask where the name Gaius comes from? It has been a name in my family, but its’ origins are in Ancient Greece and was even the name of a Caesar. Gaius in ancient times was known as a man of hospitality and a person of warmth and generosity.
